Always Remember Our Fallen.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering, honoring, and mourning the military personnel that had died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday is now observed on the last Monday of May.
The red poppy has connected generations of veterans, service members and their families with civilians in remembering all those who have fallen. And for more than 75 years, the VFW's "Buddy"® Poppy program has honored those who have sacrificed by raising millions of dollars to support veterans' well-being.
Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Find all VFW resources in one place to help you manage your membership and carry out the VFW's mission. Because of you, we're able to make a difference for America's veterans everywhere.
ADDYSTON VFW IS CLOSED UNTIL THE END OF THE CURRENT PANDEMIC.
